Memorial Weekend--Bay Area Style

What a fun four days!! We had a relaxing and much-needed trip to the bay area this weekend where we enjoyed a day trip to Muir Beach--although we experienced those chilly winds, Jackson had a ton of fun digging in the sand, making sand castles and running around while bundled in three layers.

The Japanese Tea Gardens were full of squirrels, coy fish, ducks and beautiful landscaping and scenery. Running in Golden Gate Park outside the DuYoung Museum was exciting for Jackson but a bit nerve-racking for Pete and I--considering that Jackson wanted to touch and tug on art that clearly stated "do not touch" and that I am sure we couldn't afford to replace...

After all these adventures we relaxed Sunday afternoon by the pool and spa. Pete and I enjoyed soaking in the sun with a little champagne. Jackson enjoyed kicking, splashing and bossing us around.

After this weekend was through, we decided that we seriously need to move to Marin!

Happy Mama's Day

We had a nice relaxing Mother's Day at our house and Jackson was a very good boy and bought his mommy a shiny necklace from her favorite store, Tiffany's. In addition, he painted me a beautiful canvas--forget Jackson Pollock, we've got Jackson Muir.

There are lots of things that this mommy tries to teach this little boy (eat your vegetables, don't hit people or Mishka and you can't run around without your pants on in public)! But the best lessons come from what he teaches me--laugh often, enjoy the little things (like popsicles) and give lots of love!!!
